ATHENS, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Iraklis reached the quarter-finals of the Greek Cup on Thursday with a 1-0 win over fellow Super League side Panionios in Thessaloniki.
Argentine defender Javier Malagueno stole in at the far post to head in a cross from the right for the only goal of the game in the 24th minute.
Both sides had chances in the second half with Panionios hitting the post.
Iraklis joined Aris Salonika, Larissa, Xanthi, Atromitos Athinon, Olympiakos Piraeus and second division Thrasyvoulos in the last eight. OFI Crete and second division Agrotikos Asteras face a replay in Iraklion.
