Barcelona striker Lionel Messi could make his return in time for the Liga encounter with Racing Santander on January 20th.
The Argentine forward has been out injured since limping off during the first half in his side's 3-0 win at Valencia on December 15th, meaning that he missed the ill-fated Clasico with Real Madrid a week later.
He'll miss the weekend trip to Mallorca, as well as the home game with Murcia on the 13th, but club doctor Ricard Pruna feels that he could make it in time for the visit to the Sardinero.
"When will he be back? Around January 20th," said Pruna.
"He's very much involved. His previous injuries have seen him mature, and his recovery is going fantastically according to our clinical and ultrasound tests."
