Fernandez was extremely happy with his team’s performance, and in particular with that of Diego Milito, who scored his team’s equalizer, but ended up getting himself sent-off in second half injury time.

“Diego is one of the greats of Real Zaragoza’s history, something that isn’t easy, and he is one of the best players I’ve had under my orders,” he stated in relation to the prolific Argentine striker, who will miss Sunday’s clash with Real Madrid.

He explained that the Argentine, who has scored over 40 goals in two years at Zaragoza, is a great player not only because of his quality, but because his attitude, and the loyalty he has for the club.

“Despite him being the player who earns the most money, and also that he is our most recognized player internationally in these moments, he is a player who always does his best, and that is very valuable for us,” stated Fernandez, who always defended the striker, even after he returned from the Copa America in a bad state.
