Two new players for Hertha?

The Hertha posse arrived safely on the holiday island of Tenerife, where they have set up a winter training camp to prepare for what will be a tough second half of the Bundesliga season. The players and staff will remain there until January 14th.

The Air Berlin plane took off from Tegel airport in Berlin just after 9 am on Monday January 7th. USA under-20 player Brian Arquez (18) and the Swede Bobbie Friberg da Cruz (25) were also on board.
The duo will be on trial hoping for a contract with Hertha during the training camp stay.

Pantelic will arrive later

One player not on board was top scorer Marko Pantelic, who will join the group a day later, after celebrating an Orthodox Christmas with his family. Christian Müller was also not on the plane. He is negotiating a possible move to Energie Cottbus.
After a short stay in Zurich, the Hertha posse arrived in Tenerife at 2.45 pm. With the thermometer touching 20 degrees, the Hertha players were able to leave their winter coats in their luggage!
