Koller extends with Bochum


VfL Bochum have announced that Head Coach Marcel Koller has extended his contract for a further two years.

The 47 year-old's new contract will be valid for both the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga, and will expire on June 30th, 2010 the club said. The club's board and supervisory board are happy that the deal was sealed, saying that they are content with the work that Koller has done at the club.

Long-term planning
Thnaks to the extension, the club feels it now has the opportunity to concentrate on long-term planning. Marcel Koller was delighted to have the deal finalised, saying "I'm feel at home here with VfL because our cooperation is based on mutual trust. We have common goals and in the coming years we aim to achieve them." Bochum are currently 13th in the Bundesliga standings on 19 points.
